Dee Shackleton

My name is Costandina (Dee).  I was born in Bradford where I grew up with my two brothers Peter and John.  I became involved with CRY after my older brother, Peter died on 15th November 1998 at the age of 25.  As you can imagine this was devastating for my family and I.

CRY became the support network I needed and I have found out so much about the symptoms of the condition which lead to Peters death which I did not recognise at the time.

That is why I feel the work of CRY is so very important with the constant campaign to raise awareness of the conditions and symptoms that can endanger people's lives
