Scott Fleming - Scotland

On the 12th of December 2004 I collapsed while playing 11-a-side football.  I awoke five days later to be told that I had flat-lined countless times and been in a coma.

I was then told that the cause of this was WPW, a condition I was totally unaware that I had!  I was even more surprised to find out that it was relatively easy to cure in most cases if diagnosed.

A week later I was transferred to the Royal in Edinburgh where the ablation procedure took place, I was then released from hospital on Christmas Eve after a session on the treadmill.

The doctor's were surprised by my progress but baffled as to how I managed to come through this undiagnosed - as am I!

Hopefully now I have came through it I can raise the profile of this and other conditions, and maybe prevent other people either having to go through what I did or save their families from the grief that it can cause.
