The CRY Medical Information DVD
is the result of a project instigated by Gareth Mallon of the
East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Initially aimed at educating ambulance crews
about appropriate action to take when they encounter a young
person who has suffered cardiac arrest, the DVD is also now
being distributed free of charge to many other health
professionals and members of the public.
The DVD contains
a wealth of information about heart conditions that can cause
young sudden cardiac death, in the form of short video clips.
In these clips, CRY Consultant Cardiologist Professor Sanjay
Sharma gives details about the various cardiac conditions,
including possible symptoms (if any), diagnostic techniques and
types of treatment available.
All the content from the DVD can be found on CRY's YouTube
channeland you can also request to be sent a FREE copy
of the DVD by contacting the CRY office - call 01737 363222
or email cry@c-r-y.org.uk
