Bath Half Marathon 2006 - After the Race

After completing the race, CRY runners returned to Bath Rugby Clubhouse for a well-earned lunch and a few drinks!  After the exertions of the morning's race, the afternoon was an opportunity to relax, catch up with old friends and reflect on the reasons behind the fundraising efforts.

A number of ex-Bath and ex-England rugby players dropped in over the course of the afternoon, and former Bath and England coach Jack Rowell was also present.

During the afternoon, there were short speeches from Gareth Chilcott, Simon Halliday, and CRY Chief Executive Alison Cox.

Everyone was thanked for lending their support to the day, and Alison Cox thanked Simon for his fantastic efforts in organising it all.

Simon Halliday's specially-commissioned video was played on the big-screen televisions in the clubhouse throughout the afternoon.  There was also CRY information displayed around the clubhouse, and a CRY information and merchandise stall.

You can read Simon Halliday's own recollections of the day here
