We
cycled from Kilsyth to Troon, a distance of 62 miles, and caught the ferry
to Larne, in the north of Ireland, where we stayed overnight.
The following morning we
cycled from Larne to Coleraine, a distance of 63 miles, where we spent the
night and enjoyed the local hospitality.
On the Friday, we cycled
from Coleraine in the north, crossing into the south of Ireland on the Foyle
ferry, then travelling down to Letterkenny in Donegal - in glorious
sunshine.
Saturday was the last day, cycling from
Letterkenny over the lovely mountains, past stunning Mount Errigal. We
were joined by my cousin Hugh Bonner and again enjoyed a day of wonderful
sunshine.
We completed a great 230 miles, followed by
a week-long stay enjoying the crack and Guinness
This was a great trip, in
memory of James Kelly, who never made a trip to Ireland - a place his
parents said he would love to have seen.
In total we raised
£831.50 for CRY in memory of James.
