Lost Weekend - band for
charity events
Lost
Weekend is a rock band from the Stockport area made up of four enthusiastic mature guys who
enjoy performing music together. Primarily, we play covers, although our
drummer has written some songs. We play music from the 50s right through
to contemporary stuff.
Artists include: Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Free, Cream, Bryan Adams,
Paul Weller, the Clash, REM, Bruce Springsteen, Stereophonics, and
Oasis. Thanks to the renaissance of rock over the past few years
we have added new bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, the Killers and the
Kings of Leon to our collection. |

With a repertoire of
over a 100 songs we are happy to slant the set lists to suit your
audience, though normally we would play an eclectic mix from the whole
period.

When we organise our own gigs, we normally
start the first set about 8:15 gently to allow people to meet and chat.
About half way through we pick up the pace to encourage people to get up
on the dance floor. This set lasts for about an hour. We then have an
interval for about 45 minutes, allowing you to run some fund raising
activities, such as auctions, coin-rolling games and raffles. We
normally resume playing about 10:15 and this is a full-on dance set from
start to finish. The evening ends between 11:30 and 12:00 depending on
the venue. Of course, we are happy to adapt this format.
We have played a number
of fund raising charity gigs and are offering our services free for any
CRY fundraisers that either want us to play a complete evening of
entertainment or to add live music to one of their events. All that we
ask from you is that you provide the audience.
