As local representative of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), I was horrified to read that four young girls from the Clacton area have been collecting sponsorship money fraudulently.  I would urge anyone approached by someone they do not know, and who is claiming to collect money for CRY, to check authenticity by ringing either myself on 01255 673 598 or CRY headquarters on 01737 363 222.  I would advise against giving money without proof that the individual(s) concerned have completed an event.
