You don't need to be an athlete to enjoy this
charity trek, although some
training is advisable before undertaking this challenge (a training plan
will be provided). Some
people take part with friends or family, but most people come on their
own. A great way to make new friends and
raise money for CRY!
In order for you to be able to take part in this fantastic
charity trek, we ask you to first
make a non-refundable deposit of £299. The rest of the trip's
expenses will be FREE providing you raise a minimum amount of £2650
in sponsorship money. CRY will receive at least £1325 for each
fundraiser who takes part in this event.
Some participants choose to pay the deposit out of their own pocket,
whilst others will do this initially and then later reimburse themselves from
sponsorship money collected (from any monies raised over and above the
event's minimum sponsorship level).
The
event will run twice in 2010 - 8th to 17th May; and 8th to 17th
October. This should give you
plenty of preparation time (e.g. to gather sponsors; book time off work; get in
better shape, etc). Fundraising
