CRY was donated £10,000 to develop a counselling programme. Our
pilot study in 2000 was used to train CRY staff and individuals who had suffered a
tragedy and wanted to be available to help others.
The CRY Counselling Skills Course will now become one of the most
important features of our support service.
CRY has a network of individuals who
have suffered a tragedy, some of which of have done our Skills Course,
who are available to support others through their loss.
Further information is available through our Counselling Leaflet.
If you are interested in applying for a place on this Skills Course
please send your details and CV to the CRY office.
Further to the completion of the Skills
Course many course members have continued with the second stage of
Counselling Theory in 2003 and are awaiting the results of the
assessors.
On Saturday September 28th 2002 CRY
launched the CRY Surgery Supporters Club for young people (under 35) who have
had or are about to confront potentially life-saving surgery and want to talk
to others who have been through a similar experience, including fitting
of pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, ICD and ablation.
The CRY Surgery Supporters Group
On Saturday 11th June 2005 CRY

the Institute of Child Health.
