Dr Joyee Basu

In 2010, Joyee graduated from Oxford university and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2013.  Following appointment as a Cardiology registrar in the Oxford Deanery, she joined St George’s Hospital as a CRY clinical research fellow in Autumn 2016.

Her sub-speciality interests include inherited cardiac conditions, imaging and sports cardiology. Joyee is currently undertaking research on exercise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients, which will form the basis of her PhD.

She has always been passionate about sport spending her elective at the Adidas Sports Centre, Auckland, New Zealand. As a keen rugby fan, Joyee enjoys cheering on Leicester tigers at Welford Road whenever she can! She also enjoys the great outdoors and can be found running, horse riding and cycling in her free time.
