Dr Keerthi Prakash

BSc (1st Class Hons), MBChB, MRCP

Keerthi qualified from Leeds University in 2005 and in addition to her medical qualification, achieved 1st Class Honours in an Intercalated BSc in Clinical Sciences.

She completed her Foundation training and Core Medical training in Yorkshire and in 2009 gained a National Training Number in Cardiology in the West Yorkshire Deanery. She has successfully completed the MRCP (2010) and the KBA in Cardiology (2013).

She is sub-specialising in non-invasive imaging and has obtained the BSE accreditation in transthoracic echocardiography. She also has experience in performing and reporting transoesophageal echocardiography, Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT.

In 2014 she moved to London to undertake her MD (Res) as a CRY Clinical Research Fellow under the supervision of Professor Sharma at St George’s, University of London.

Keerthi’s research interests include sports cardiology and inherited cardiac diseases, in particular Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.

In her spare time she likes to play badminton and watch basketball.
