to donate a percentage of the sale value to CRY. You will need an eBay
Sellers account, and you will need to create a new MissionFish account.

scheme.

asks you to set the starting price for bids on your item, also will have an
option to 'donate to charity'. Click here and follow all the
instructions, and you will be able to select CRY as your charity of choice.
The eBay for Charity scheme was piloted by the
BBC's Children in Need appeal, and is now open to all charities that register
for the scheme. You can read about eBay for Charity at

e2bid
online auctions

The
launch of e2bid is a revolution in online
buying and selling, as it is the UK’s first auction marketplace dedicated to
raising money for charity and eradicating forever the hefty 'Final Value Fee'
charged by other online auction sites.
What makes e2bid even more unique is
that every single auction guarantees funds for selected charities, including
CRY. Not only does 25% of listing fees go to charity, but also 25% all
site revenue - with a goal of increasing this to 50% and beyond with your
support.
Site News
There have been some small
alterations to the site, with the addition of a new 'about us' page which
you will find here
about e2bid
It
also contains information on slight changes to the fee structure. E2bid's
intention was to have no Final Value Fee whatsoever, but this unfortunately
could be abused by sellers starting items from 40p and still bidding up to
large selling prices.E2bid have therefore introduced a final value fee for
all items selling above £250 of 1%.
Amount to Charity
There
has been some difficulty in the actual wording of this, as e2bid just do not
know what the revenue of the site will be. E2bid will give all profits
to its elected charities - to clarify this, all monies received, minus
e2bid's running costs, will be split equally between its charities.
E2bid can confirm that
that for the open period 26th March 2007 to 30th April
2007, 50% of all site revenue will be split equally amongst all elected
charities onboard by 26TH March 2007. In addition, for this
period only, e2bid are giving an extra incentive of 25p for every new
registered user who lodges at least one item for sale in the period.
Individual charities have the option of asking their supporters to add the
first 2 letters of there charity to their user names. This will ensure
that that charity gains the whole 25p and is an added incentive to spread
the world within your own communities. All sellers who do not do this will
have their 25p spilt equally between all charities.
Co-Founder
of e2bid, James King, says, “We
are starting a revolution which can only go from strength to strength.
Not only does it end the burden of ridiculously high final value fees
currently paid by sellers, but each and every auction will benefit some great
causes. We are driven by an urge to divert some of the huge profits currently
made by large organisations back into the pockets of the sellers, and most
importantly those good causes which really deserve support and currently
receive nothing or very little from online selling.”
e2bid is a
CIC (Community Interest Company), and is overseen by the CIC regulator.
