Great Scott's gesture

Evening Standard - 20th July 2005

Andy Scott, who was forced to retire from professional football last season with a heart condition, will kick off his benefit match tonight with Leyton Orient take on another of his former clubs, Brentford, at Griffin Park.

Scott, who is now youth team manager at Orient, will donate 20 per cent of the proceeds from the pre-season friendly to the Cardiac Risk in the Young charity (CRY).

Meanwhile, Nigerian defender Ugo Ukah has signed a three-year deal with Queens Park Rangers following a successful spell on trial.
