A teenage authoress is taking
her first step to stardom at an official signing of her debut book.
Julie Tanner, 13, approached more than 400 celebrities to see what inspired
them, and compiled them in her book, 101
Reasons to Get Up in the Morning.
Now, hotly tipped to become a Christmas bestseller, it has hit the shelves to
raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
The
former St Philomena’s School pupil succeeded in getting contributions from a
glittering array of celebrities from every walk of life from entertainment to
politics and sport.
The
book contains wise messages from the late Pope John Paul II to Prime Minister
Tony Blair, actor Hugh Grant, and presenter Terry Wogan.
Approaching every celebrity herself, Julie was inspired after family friend
Andy Gard from Frinton died of sudden heart failure just two days before his
18th birthday. Caxton Books in Connaught Avenue, Frinton, is set
to hold an official book signing for Julie on Saturday, November 12.
