Concert  for Marcus

Harwich and  Manningtree Standard   -  27th April 2007

The partner of a man who died of a rare heart disorder will be performing a concert in his honour.

Marcus Armstrong was 28 when he collapsed and died on May 26 last year.

Lucy Hammond, his partner of five years, will be raising money for the charity - Cardiac Risk in the Young - with a piano concert dedicated to him in Lion Walks Church, Colchester on May 5.

Lucy said: "We wanted to play the concert in his honour, and it will be great if we can raise as much money as possible for the charity."

Marcus, a former pupil of Mayflower Primary School, Ramsey Primary School and Harwich School, was a talented golfer.

Tickets are available for A2B Taxis, in Station Road, Dovercourt, on the door or can be reserved by calling 01255 871 058 or 07798 610 928.
