CRY
Teddy and QT Kanga also came along, and had a lovely day in the sun
making friends of both the two-legged and four-legged variety! CRY
Teddy proved to be very popular with the younger visitors to the show, and
there were even a couple of attempts to kidnap him!
"Oh
no!" he squealed, as he was carried off by the ear by
a little girl who had taken a shine to him. Fortunately I managed
to rescue Teddy and place him back with his friend Kanga.
CRY
Teddy and QT Kanga also managed to hitch a ride on Aesthete Cherokee
Chieftain (owned by Ruby Brown). But he took a dislike to them
both after a while, and bucked them off! "Eeekkkk" they
shouted with disgust, "I think we shall go back to the CRY tent
now please" they both said. (more pictures)
The
supreme foal champion (owned by Plumtree Shetlands) seemed
to get on much better with Teddy and Kanga, although was a little cautious
at first........perhaps wondering which Class these two strange little furry
creatures were in!
As well as the horse show
itself, there was a tombola stall, raffles, a 'name the bear' competition
and an auction of items that had been kindly donated at the show.
Abbie, David and Richard also handled horses for donations into
the CRY fund.
Highest bidding on the
donated goods was for a lovely mare and foal bronze clock, which was donated
by the Davenport family of the Aesthete Stud - www.aesthetestud.com/.
Thank you to Jane and family.
Other
items donated were:
-
a
Mini Marvel toy (gladiator) which was donated by Tanya Larrigan of the
Mini Marvels Show Team http://www.theminimarvels.com/home.shtml
-
a
miniature travel rug / set was kindly donated by Hallmarked Stud.
Although this did not meet reserve and so was not sold, it will be
offered again at another event http://www.hallmarked.freeserve.co.uk/.
Thanks to Mandy.
-
miniature
stallions donated by top miniature horse studs, for a free covering
to a mare. These tickets sold
very well!! Details of this can be seen on the aesthete stud link
www.aesthetestud.com/
The
Davenport family also donated all the entry money from the Best Condition
class of the show. A huge thank you to all at the Aesthete Stud!!
We
had a wonderful day, and are very pleased to have raised £912.65 for
CRY so far. This would not have been possible without the help of the
Davenport and Lister families. Thanks must also go to Plumtree
Shetlands (thank you Lorraine); Harewood Stud (thank you Kelly); Aughton
Spotted Ponies (thank you Sue); Blackmins Stud (thank you Louise); Zeals
House (thank you Wendy); and New Close Farm (thank you Jill).
A
great day was had by all, and the memorial show for Vicky Johnson was a very
memorable day indeed..........
