The
sun did not shine on us much on this day, and unfortunately we did not quite
match the wonderful amount that was raised in 2004 in Vicky's memory.
However, we greatly
appreciate everyone's kind help - we had a good day, and total amount raised is
looking to be around £500 by the time we have calculated up all the monies
raised with the tombola, raffles, "name the bear", cake stall, selling of CRY
wrist bands and so on.
The stallion raffle
is still ongoing, and we appreciate all the donations that came in through
various ways.
Our total is still
a great achievement for one day of fundraising!!
The hospitality of
the Davenport-Lister family was, as always, wonderful. They made sure
everyone was happy and content, and Barbara Davenport put on a delicious buffet
tea.
We thank you very
much for looking after us Barbara.
A special 'thank
you' also to Barbara's dear mum, who is always very kind and caring and donates
money to the cause - a very sweet lady!
We
would like to thank many sponsors who donated goods for the event, including
grooming brushes; fly sprays; horse shampoos; rug set; blue chip sweatshirt; and
horse treats. Home made flapjack was sold by my dear Aunty Ivy, and there
were lots of kind donations from many people including:
