The Virgin Money London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – runners have raised over £750 million for good causes since the race began in 1981. The course follows an iconic route taking in many of London’s landmarks, from the Cutty Sark and the City to St James’ Park and The Mall.

Join 38,000 other runners on one of the world’s most iconic courses and help us raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death.

CRY have a limited number of places available for this event. The pledge for a CRY place in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2018 is £1,900, which includes a non-refundable £50 registration fee.

As the Virgin Money London Marathon is a core funding event for CRY, all money raised from a CRY place will go towards our core funding initiatives. It is, therefore, not possible to allocate sponsorship raised using a CRY place, to ringfenced memorial funds.

Apply for a CRY place

CRY welcome any own place runners who would like to run for us and will provide you with a London Marathon runners pack and either a running vest or technical T-shirt to wear for the event.

If a supporter wishes to run and has a family history of Young Sudden Cardiac Death and/or Cardiac Condition, we will require a letter of clearance, to say they are safe to run.
