Stepping out for cash

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle) - 19th April 2005

Walkers are set to raise cash in memory of a young man killed by a rare heart condition.

Levon Morland, of West Rainton, Durham, was 22 when Wolfe Parkinson-White syndrome claimed his life in 2002.

Since then his family have raised money for the national. Charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) to fund research and pay for screening tests that can detect potentially fatal conditions in young people.

On Sunday, at 11.30am, up to 70 walkers will set off from Seaham on a route through Houghton-le-Spring to the Chilton Country Club, at Fence Houses.
