Fund's tribute

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle) - 25th May 2005

The parents of a student who died suddenly in his sleep have pledged to do all they can to prevent other families suffering the same grief.

Jimmy Wilson, 24, died at home in Sulgrave, Washington, in January last year, and since then family, friends and neighbours have been raising money to tackle the rare heart condition believed to have claimed his life.

So far they have raised more than £4,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young through various activities.

Jimmy’s mum Ann, 50, said: “I want to raise enough to hold a screening session.”
