Mayor takes to her feet for good causes

Newtownabbey Times & East Antrim Times  - 7th December  2006

Shoppers at Abbey centre helped get the Mayor's Christmas Charity Collection underway this weekend, as Aldermany Lynn Frazer took to her feet in aid of her three chosen charities - the Make a Wish Foundation UK, CRY and the Antrim Area Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Volunteers from the charities will continue giving the Mayor a helping hand at her three further collection points at Ballyclare on Saturday, December 9 between 11am and 4pm; At Northcott Shopping Centre on Thursday, December 14 from 2pm to 5 pm, and Abbeycentre on Friday, December 15, between 6pm and 9pm.

The Mayor commented: "The people of Newtownabbey have always supported the Mayor's charities generously and I would ask everyone to spare a thought for others when they are out and about shopping over the next few weeks and give to the collection - every little bit counts!"

So look out for the Mayor and give generously!
