MPs support CRY's tenth anniversary

Local MPs Nigel Waterson and Charles Hendry teamed up to lend their support to a charity’s 10th anniversary.  Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) launched is first ever awareness week – and called on the sports world to help save young lives.

CRY Parliamentary Reception 2005

On Wednesday June 15^th, CRY hosted a Parliamentary Reception at Westminster as part of its Raising Awareness Week, and to help mark its 10^th Anniversary.  The event was attended by more than 50 MPs who came to show their support for CRY’s campaigning.  Rosie Winterton MP, Dari Taylor MP and Tim Loughton MP all praised CRY in short speeches delivered at the event.

Parents get support for heart campaign

The parents of a teenager killed by a heart defect ten years ago are gaining increasing support for their campaign for nationwide screening.

Nigel Waterson, Charles Hendry and Greg Barker met at the home of Nigel and Jenny Cole, whose son Jeremy suddenly collapsed and died in 1995 of a cardiac arrhythmia.
