When Gary and Julie Livesey lost their 15-year-old son Ash, they decided to turn tragedy into triumph and started a charity in his honour. 

They formed Team Ash and vowed to raise money for organisations which researched Sudden Adult Death Syndrome and support charities that helped bereaved parents. 

Following months of intensive fund-raising events and donations from other local organisations, Team Ash were able to present £1,000 each to SADS UK (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome) and CRY, a charity that helps grieving families.
