These write ups enable CRY supporters to stay in touch with all the fundraising events that take place.  They are also a great source of fundraising ideas, and give an idea of what various events involve.

Boxing Day Dip - 26th December 2004

Margo Wright and friends took a chilly dip in the sea at Redcar to raise money for CRY.

Race Night in memory of Adam Donnelly - 20th November 2004

Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Social Club had a fun and noisy evening of fundraising.

New York Marathon - 7th November 2004

After the loss of a much loved friend, Georgie Maynard, Andrew Cumming, James Lawson and Jake Civardi ran the New York Marathon for CRY.

Dublin Marathon - 25th October 2004

Chris Jowett discovered CRY whilst doing research for his Sports Science degree.  After information from CRY helped him with his studies, Chris decided to run the Dublin Marathon for CRY.

The 8th Howard Jennings CRY Memorial Trophy - 18th September 2004

64 golfers took part in this annual tournament in memory of Howard Jennings.  A good day was had by all, and the rain held off for nearly the whole event!

SRC Ben Thorn Cycleothon - 12th September 2004

The bi-annual charity bike ride in memory of Ben Thorn.  A gentle morning cycle ride was followed by a barbecue and party carrying on into the evening

1,000,000m Rowathon - Summer 2004
Bob Bailey will row 1,000,000 metres fundraising in memory of his nephew Damian Kosten who tragically lost his life to Cardiomyopathy aged 23

The Weary Traveller Annual Bowling Day

The 6th annual event held at the Weary Traveller pub in Kidderminster.  The day featured lawn bowls, a barbecue, balloon race, auction and a raffle.

White Water Rafting in Memory of Brian Southern
After that second run, we were all very weary about just how powerful this little river in Wales actually was, we were all holding on as tight as possible, as we went down on our third run.

QT Kanga raising awareness of SADS in the UK

QT's epic journey around the world to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young.  Now joined by CRY Teddy, find out where they have been and where they hope to be going.

Aesthete Miniature Horse Show

An event held in memory of Vicky Johnson.  A great day was had by all, and CRY Teddy and QT Kanga joined in the fun too.

Charity Football Match - Dominic Lilley Select vs. Aston Villa Old Stars

Dominic suffered, and survived, a cardiac arrest in July 2003, at the age of 20, and is on the long, slow, road to recovery.  A charity football match took place on 8th August 2004 to show support for Dom, and to raise money for CRY and the City Hospital, Birmingham.

Suffolk Auction - 17th July 2004
Kate and Robi Fox held their second grand auction attracting high bids for a huge variety of memorabilia, exciting events, one-off opportunities, relaxing breaks ... pledges and donations 

Mountain Mayhem 24 hour mountain bike race
Rod Mason spent a very muddy 24 hours on his bike, to raise money for CRY.

Skydive in memory of Anthony Lancaster

David Bratton and Elspeth Nicholson skydive with the Red Devils, as one of several fundraising events undertaken by pupils at Hull Grammar School.

3 Peaks Challenge in memory of Andy Gard

Steve Sparkes and friends attempt to climb Snowdonia, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis - the highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland - all within 24 hours. 

London Marathon in memory of Huw Lewis

Jonny Lewis explains why he decided to run the London Marathon 2004 for CRY, in memory of his brother Huw.

London Marathon in memory of Alessandro Testardi

On 18th April 2004, Rosemary Castle ran the London Marathon in memory of her friends' son.

New Year Dip
After a 2003 New Years Eve party Richard, Sandy and Greg (CRY Chairman!) started 2004 with a dip into the Solent in Stokes Bay to raise money for CRY.
