On 15th
November 2008, the winners were drawn for the CRY Raising Awareness Week 2008
Quiz. The prizes available for tackling this fiendish quiz were holiday
vouchers and a year's subscription to "Private Eye" magazine. |

Sue and Lisa Williams organised a charity Halloween Fancy Dress Ball to raise
money and awareness for CRY in memory of David and Steve Williams. The
evening featured a 3-course meal, presentations about CRY, raffle and disco. |

of her son Stuart. The event attracted over 200 guests and was well
supported by Stuart's friends and family. |

Home made cider tasting evening at Fylde Rugby
Club - 25th October 2008
Craig
McIntyre organised this event at Fylde Rugby Club. Seven different
home-brewed ciders were on show, as well as a selection of fine cheeses and an
enormous apple cake. Around 100 people attended, paying £1 for a tasting
glass, and then donating 50p for each cider they wished to try. |

Joseph was keen to help CRY raise awareness after collapsing whilst running in

Bridges Walk - 20th July 2008
Following the success of
CRY's inaugural Heart of
London Bridges Sponsored Walk in 2007 the event took place again in
2008, with over 600 CRY supporters in attendance. CRY Patron Kathryn Harries once again
led the walk, crossing 8 London bridges - each bridge representing one
of the 8 fit and healthy young people (aged 35 and under) who die
suddenly each week in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions. |

Oxley completed this 285-mile cycling challenge to raise money and awareness for
CRY. Despite suffering punctures and enduring hills, Shona enjoyed

Aylott and Adam Austin cycled 934 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats, to
raise money and awareness for CRY, in memory of Mike's fiancee (and Adam's
friend), Jane Starr. Jane died suddenly in May 2006 of an undiagnosed
heart condition - later identified as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - aged just
33. |

The CRY Team of Richard Ball, Clive
Middleton, Greg Whyte and Mat Wilson have successfully completed the daunting
3000-mile Race Across America (RAAM) cycle race and achieved their goal of a top
3 finish!

Hopetoun St. John No. 1232, a small Masonic Lodge located in Linlithgow,
West Lothian, organised a 15-mile sponsored walk
from “The Falkirk Wheel”
to Linlithgow. This is the third year in a row that the Lodge has
held fundraising events for CRY in memory of Lodge member David
Cochrane, who died suddenly in 2006 aged just 22. |

within CRY, through two events held at Preston Grasshoppers rugby club -

The Stay
Puft Appreciation Society entered the 2008 Coyote Rally to raise money and
awareness for CRY. Driving an old Mercedes estate car, the team travelled
1486 miles around Europe in 4 days. |

grand charity show was recently held at Cobridge Coronation Club, Stoke on
Trent, to raise money for CRY and Mencap. The show featured comedy, music and
dancing, and the sell-out night was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. |
