to Paris Cycle Ride in memory of Nolan Foley - 14th September 2011
David Foley cycled from London to Paris between Wednesday 14th and
Saturday 17th September 2011 in memory of his son Nolan Foley and he
has so far raised £3,745.00.

& Spade Cycle Ride in memory of Andrew Parr - 27th August 2011
Mike Faun, the minister of Liberty Christian Centre in Horwich,
Lancashire, completed a 38 mile cycle ride from Southport to
Blackpool on Saturday 27th August.
He raised £425 for CRY and the
ride was in memory of Andrew Parr.

Aberdeen to Leek Charity Cycle in memory of Chris Parr - July 2011
Andrew Russell, Grant Jamieson, Rene Van Oorschot, David Goodwin, Graham
Oliver, Thomas Lydiate, Ricky Mclarnon, Ken Rae and Andrew Wallace set
out on a challenge to cycle from Aberdeen to Leek, in memory of their
friend Chris Parr.

John O'Groats to
Glyn School in memory of Tony Cooper - 16th July 2011
On the 16th July, 12 Glyn
School students travelled up to the top of Great Britain to begin
their 710mile bike ride south to finish at Glyn School on the 23rd.
Stefan Richards and Ziya Gokman represented C.R.Y. in memory of
their teacher Tony Cooper, who died in school from a heart attack
two years ago. |

On Sunday 10th July,
Steven Ranson and a team of cyclists took part in the "Ups and
Downs" charity 30 mile cycle ride in Petersfield, Hampshire. |

Big Heart Bike Ride
2011 - Tanzania - 18th to 26th June 2011
Congratulations and thank you to the
fundraisers who took part in the Big Heart Bike Ride this year in
Africa. It was a 400 kilometre bike ride through Tanzania to raise
money for four heart charities, including CRY. We would like to
extend our congratulations to the couple that got engaged while on
the trip and wish Ramon and Kath all the best for a very happy
future together! |

Coast to Coast Cycle in
Memory of Jake Carney - 6th June 2011
On Monday 6th June 2011 Dave and Peter Carney took part in a Coast
to Coast cycle in memory of Dave's son Jake (see picture below).
They raised a wonderful £3,633.50 from the ride. |

Andy
Smith completes the Andes to Amazon Cycle - 19th May 2011
Andy Smith completed his 5 day cycle in Peru
riding from the Sacred Valley to deep into the jungle and has raised
£3,355.77 for Cardiac Risk in the Young. After taking into account
the event costs, this means that Andy raised £1,713.77 for
the charity. |

Zurich Team take on Rutland Water Challenge in memory of Lewis Barry
- 16th May 2011
On
Monday 16 May, 50 intrepid Risk Engineers and Zurich M Sales staff
from all over the UK took on the challenge of Rutland Water in
memory of Lewis Barry and to raise funds for CRY - and won! The
cyclists circumnavigated the 17 miles around the reservoir - some
chose to add the 6 mile island for good measure. Walkers and
runners took on the 10k route across the dam and back. |

mate Matthew Cooper, who died suddenly in 2003 aged 22. |

Mike
Aylott and Adam Austin cycled 934 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats, to
raise money and awareness for CRY, in memory of Mike's fiancee (and Adam's
friend), Jane Starr. Jane died suddenly in May 2006 of an undiagnosed
heart condition - later identified as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - aged just
33. |

Middleton, Greg Whyte and Mat Wilson have successfully completed the daunting
3000-mile Race Across America (RAAM) cycle race and achieved their goal of a top

Elisabeth Mack joined 101 other cyclists on a 4 day, 450 kilometre cycle ride
from London to Paris, taking in magnificent - if somewhat hilly - scenery on
route. Chris and Elisabeth entered the event to raise money for CRY in memory of
Gregory Highwood-Mack. |

The Big Heart Bike Ride - 14th to 23rd April
2007
The Big Heart Bike Ride
was a 10-day adventure in Cuba. The trip
featured 5 days of cycling (320km) around the island, plus plenty of sightseeing in Havana. The ride
took in quiet roads, passing
towns and villages that seemed frozen in time. Highlights of the ride
included the Bay of Pigs - famous for US aggression on Cuba in 1961;
and Santa Clara with its statue of the legendary Che Guevara. |

25th to 28th September 2006
Jules
Drakeford and Kev Hines completed a 150-mile bike ride from Whitehaven to
Tynemouth, to raise money for CRY in memory of their friend, Brice.
Although the route was arduous at times, they were treated to some spectacular
views as they made their way through the Lake District and across the Pennines. |

Team Buzz 'Tour de
France' - August 2006
Mark Dee-Shapland and three friends -
known as Team Buzz - cycled the length of France to raise money and
awareness for CRY, in memory of Mark's sister Claire. CRY Patron John Inverdale, and Arsenal and England
footballer Theo Walcott, both gave their support to this CRY fundraising
