Event Write ups for Cardiac Risk in the Young


	Charity gig in memory of Liam Morefield - 19th November 2009 Sophie Sandles organised a charity gig at The Frog and Fiddle (Cheltenham) to raise money and awareness for CRY in memory of Liam Morefield.
	"GUYfest" in memory of Guy Evans - 22nd August 2009 A fundraising and awareness-raising event in memory of Guy Evans.
	Charity Musical Evening - 13th June 2009 CRY supporters Christine Abram and Ruth Lowe organised a charity musical evening at Preston Minster. The event was in aid of three charities - CRY, EDN (Eating Disorder Network) and Disabled Cricket. There was also a raffle, auction and refreshments including homemade cakes.
	Classical recital in memory of Alex Buckler - 16th April 2009 Edward Marsh, baritone, accompanied by Peter Ford on piano, performed an evening of songs during a Charity Recital held in memory of Alex Buckler.
	Concert in memory of Fabian Maingot - 11th March 2009 Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School's Big Band played a concert at St. John's Church, Westminster, in memory of former pupil Fabian Maingot, who died suddenly of a heart problem in 1999. The event raised money for Cardiac Risk in the Young and the British Heart Foundation.
	C-Fest: An evening of music to raise funds for CRY in memory of Harvey Hague-Armitage - March 2009 Students from Cardinal Griffin Catholic High School organised and performed an evening of contemporary rock and metal music to raise funds for CRY in memory of fellow student Harvey Hague-Armitage. The event consisted of a mixture of solo performances and performances by groups.
	Dolly Parton Night - 21st October 2008 Joseph Tanner organised a Dolly Parton Night to raise money and awareness for CRY. Joseph was keen to help CRY raise awareness after collapsing whilst running in March 2008 and subsequently being diagnosed with Brugada Sydrome.
	"Stars in the Club's Eyes" and Family Fun Day in memory of Stevie Wiggins - April / May 2008 Money was raised for the Stevie Wiggins Memorial Fund within CRY, through two events held at Preston Grasshoppers rugby club - a "Stars in the Club's Eyes" talent show; and a Family Fun Day (the latter combined with a rugby match).
	Charity Show in memory of Nathan Butler - March 2008 A grand charity show was recently held at Cobridge Coronation Club, Stoke on Trent, to raise money for CRY and Mencap. The show featured comedy, music and dancing, and the sell-out night was greatly enjoyed by all who attended.
	"H-Fest" in memory of Harvey Hague-Armitage - 18th January 2008 An evening of contemporary music was held at Cardinal Griffin Catholic High School to raise money and awareness for CRY in memory of gifted musician Harvey Hague-Armitage. A range of musical styles were performed by talented students, and the evening was well supported by Harvey's friends and family.
	Charity concert in memory of Cecilia Barriga - 7th July 2007 Seven young musicians organised and performed a charity concert in St. Edmunds Church, Beckenham. The event was to raise funds and awareness for CRY, in memory of Cecilia Barriga.
	Fernhurst frazzles to Blackdown magic - 8th June 2007 When Blackdown announced that they would play the King's Arms at Fernhurst, it raised the question could the boys rock such a major venue and keep the crowd buzzing for a show running more than 2 hours?
	Wolves Youth Bank Showcase - March 2007 Ashley Cox, Adele Cox, Aaron Cox, Nathan Robinson, Elle Robinson, Larni Robinson, Danielle Robinson, Stacey-Dawn Round and Sian Morgan took part in the Wolves Youth Bank Showcase to raise awareness of CRY in memory of Donna Marie Cox.
	Charity Gig - Rosemary's Baby - 10th February 2007 Over 200 people turned up at Littleton School where we had lights, staging, loud music and over 5 bands performing throughout the night.
	Charity lingerie fashion show in memory of Martyn Luckett - November 2006 Charlotte Luckett organised a charity lingerie fashion show to raise money and awareness for CRY in memory of her brother Martyn.
	Charity gig in memory of Jennifer Finney - 16th September 2006 Chris Bath organised and performed at a charity gig in memory of his girlfriend Jennifer Finney. Also performing at the gig were Ciaran France, The Model Village and Soft-Use. The evening was a fantastic success, raising awareness of CRY, and also raising over £1000. *See also http://www.myspace.com/chrisbath24*
	'Red CRY at Night' charity gig - 12th August 2006 Charity music event at Woodbridge Community Centre, featuring performances by Ben Scully, Slippery Penguin and Shut Up Shirley.
	Imperial College London support CRY with Arts Fest 2006 - 6th to 10th February 2006 Hanna Barriga, a very talented musician and good friend of the Imperial College Arts Festival committee, lost her sister Cecilia in May 2005 to an unknown heart condition. The committee agreed with Hanna's suggestion that Arts Fest 2006 should choose CRY as its charity to support.
	Fashion Extravaganza - 20th October 2005 A fashion show at The New Stadium in Swansea. On show were the latest Autumn / Winter collections. Proceeds will go to a number of good causes including CRY.
	An Evening of Songs For All - 17th September 2005 A concert was held at Kings School, Bruton, in memory of former pupil Alex Buckler. The concert featured performances from two choirs - The Cider Singers and The Quorum - as well as performances by some of Alex's friends.
	The Celebration of Life Aesthete Show - 7th August 2005 Miniature horse show held in memory of Vicky Johnson. This year's event featured a tombola, raffles, home made flapjack, and even a fancy dress event for the miniature horses (and one Great Dane!)
	'Heart & Music' charity gala performance - 30th June 2005 An exciting musical theatre production. There were four charity performances of this show at the Devonport Playhouse, Plymouth.
	'Return to the Forbidden Planet' charity performance - 12th May 2005 Kingston Vale Operatic and Dramatic Society (KVODS) performed 'Return to The Forbidden Planet' in May 2005 and the opening night's ticket sales were donated to CRY.
	Aesthete Miniature Horse Show An event held in memory of Vicky Johnson. A great day was had by all, and CRY Teddy and QT Kanga joined in the fun too.
	Unforgettable' by Tara Field On 9th September 2000 I organised a song and dance show in aid of CRY. It was titled "Unforgettable" and was in memory of my sister Therese who died suddenly on 9th April 1997. The show raised £1262.63 and consisted of jazz, tap and ballet routines as well as some vocal numbers. There was a cast of 60 ranging in ages from 4 to 37.
