Gig in Memory of Gary Pope
Rob Pope organised a charity gig in memory
of his brother Gary Pope. Rob plays keyboard in the band 'Murdoch's
Crazy Eyes', who played for free at the event. Proceeds were split
between CRY and Horsham First Aid Responders. A fantastic £2000
was raised for CRY. |

Brandenburg
Choral Festival Performance for CRY - 12th April 2013
A concert helping to raise awareness of CRY was held in the beautiful
setting of the chapel at King’s College London on Friday, April 12,
2013. The Tredici Chamber Choir, conducted by Richard Thomas and
accompanied by organist Martyn Noble, performed pieces including Stabat
Mater by Scarlatti, Brahms’ German Requiem and Faure’s Requiem. |

Lily Pond
Single Launch in memory of Michael Cadman - 13th December 2012
A music student at UWS Ayr, Dean Darkie has released a song Lily Pond in
memory of his cousin Michael Cadman. In 2007, Michael, a healthy 17 year
old studying sound production at Perth College died very suddenly from
an undiagnosed heart condition. |

The
Outwood Forgers Perform at the Red Lion - 2nd September 2012
The Outwood Forgers performed at the Red Lion pub in Turners Hill on the
2nd September to raise funds and awareness for CRY. Their performance
raised £109.72 in donations.

Carols
for CRY Charity Concert - 15th December 2011
Over 500 people attended the Carols for CRY concert
in
the beautiful Guards Chapel in Wellington Barracks on the evening of
December 15 for a fundraising carol service kindly organised for CRY by
Pippa Miller.

Fraser provided readings. CRY Patrons Pixie Lott and Kathryn Harries
performed solos. |

Annual Show in memory of Aimee Garnett - 10th & 11th March 2011
Dance students and staff from Doncaster College and University
Centre Doncaster have raised £780 in memory of Aimee Garnett from
the proceeds of their annual show. |

ACT2 charity show; "Its
Just the Way of the World" - 30th October 2010
The
youngsters of ACT2 (Axmouth Children's Theatre and their friends) were
performing again on 30th October 2010. The group, who do it purely for fun and
to raise money for charities, put on a one night show in Axmouth Church.

Woodstick Festival
- 7th August 2010
On one
afternoon every August, a secret corner of Bute Park in Cardiff, known as
‘Wormbley Arena’, comes alive with great unplugged music, piles of cake and
reams of bunting.
This is
Woodstick, a free mini-festival featuring the best unplugged music from Cardiff
and beyond, and this year donations were invited for Cardiac Risk in the Young. |

"Hairgel - The
Musical" - 3rd, 4th & 5th June 2010
This two act
musical was written by Malcolm Henty and his granddaughter Bethany Wood. It was
performed over three nights by the cast of ACT2 and their friends in Axmouth
Village Hall to raise money for CRY in memory of a young mum Ali Ostler from the
village and Malcolm’s niece Natalie, who both died of SADS. |

Charity
Musical Evening - 13th June 2009
CRY supporters Christine Abram and Ruth Lowe organised a charity musical evening
at Preston Minster. The event was in aid of three charities - CRY, EDN
(Eating Disorder Network) and Disabled Cricket. There was also a raffle,
auction and refreshments including homemade cakes. |

memory of Alex Buckler - 16th April 2009
Edward Marsh, baritone, accompanied by Peter Ford on piano,
performed an evening of songs during a Charity Recital held in memory of Alex
Buckler. |

memory of Fabian Maingot - 11th March 2009
Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School's Big Band played a concert at St. John's
Church, Westminster, in memory of former pupil Fabian Maingot, who died suddenly
of a heart problem in 1999. The event raised money for Cardiac Risk in the
Young and the British Heart Foundation. |

raise funds for CRY in memory of Harvey Hague-Armitage - March 2009
Students from Cardinal Griffin Catholic High School organised and performed an
evening of contemporary rock and metal music to raise funds for CRY in memory of
fellow student Harvey Hague-Armitage. The event consisted of a mixture of
solo performances and performances by groups. |

Dolly Parton Night - 21st October 2008
Joseph
Tanner organised a Dolly Parton Night to raise money and awareness for CRY.
Joseph was keen to help CRY raise awareness after collapsing whilst running in
March 2008 and subsequently being diagnosed with Brugada Sydrome. |

"Stars in the Club's Eyes" and Family Fun
Day in memory of Stevie Wiggins - April / May 2008
Money was raised for the Stevie Wiggins Memorial Fund
within CRY, through two events held at Preston Grasshoppers rugby club -
a "Stars in the Club's Eyes" talent show; and a Family Fun Day (the latter
combined with a rugby match). |

Charity Show in memory of Nathan Butler -
March 2008
A
grand charity show was recently held at Cobridge Coronation Club, Stoke on
Trent, to raise money for CRY and Mencap. The show featured comedy, music and
dancing, and the sell-out night was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. |

An
evening of contemporary music was held at Cardinal Griffin Catholic High School
to raise money and awareness for CRY in memory of gifted musician Harvey Hague-Armitage.
A range of musical styles were performed by talented students, and the evening
was well supported by Harvey's friends and family. |

When
Blackdown announced that they would play the King's Arms at Fernhurst, it raised
the question could the boys rock such a major venue and keep the crowd buzzing
for a show running more than 2 hours? |

Over 200 people turned up at Littleton School where we had
lights, staging, loud music and over 5 bands performing throughout the night. |

Charity gig in memory of Jennifer Finney - 16th September
2006
Chris Bath organised and performed at a charity gig
in memory of his girlfriend Jennifer Finney. Also performing at the gig
were Ciaran France, The Model Village and Soft-Use. The evening was a
fantastic success, raising awareness of CRY, and also raising over £1000.

Imperial
College London support CRY with Arts Fest 2006 - 6th to 10th February 2006
Hanna Barriga, a very talented musician and good friend of the Imperial
College Arts Festival committee, lost her sister Cecilia in May 2005 to an
unknown heart condition. The committee agreed with Hanna's suggestion that
Arts Fest 2006 should choose CRY as its charity to support.

2005
A fashion
show at The New Stadium in Swansea. On show were the latest Autumn /
Winter collections. Proceeds will go to a number of good causes including
CRY. |

A concert
was held at Kings School, Bruton, in memory of former pupil Alex Buckler.
The concert featured performances from two choirs - The Cider Singers and The
Quorum - as well as performances by some of Alex's friends. |

Kingston Vale Operatic and Dramatic

2005 and the opening night's ticket sales were donated to CRY. |

An
event held in memory of Vicky Johnson. A great day was had by
all, and CRY Teddy and QT Kanga joined in the fun too. |

Unforgettable'
by Tara Field
On 9th September 2000 I organised a song and dance show in aid of CRY. It was titled "Unforgettable" and was in memory of my sister Therese who died suddenly on 9th April 1997. The show raised £1262.63 and consisted of jazz, tap and ballet routines as well as some vocal numbers.
There was a cast of 60 ranging in ages from 4 to 37. |
