  • Sarah's image cuts down family agony - Leicester Mercury, 27th March 2008

    A poster featuring 20-year-old Sarah Simpson, who died of an undiagnosed heart condition is being used to inspire experts to investigate the causes of such tragedies. 

 
  • UK's first fast-track cardiac pathology lab for sudden deaths opens at Royal Brompton Hospital - Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust website, 10th March 2008

    A new pathology lab offering hope to many bereaved families who have lost a child or loved one through sudden cardiac death opened at the Royal Brompton Hospital on Friday (7 March 2008). Funded by the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), the new fast-track pathology service will turnaround results within approximately two weeks providing answers to grieving families who would have previously had to wait up to 18 months.

 
  • 150 people attend launch of cutting edge pathology lab - Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust Intranet, 10th March 2008

    Over 150 people gathered at Royal Brompton last Friday evening (7 March 2008) for the opening of a new pathology laboratory offering hope for those who have lost loved ones to sudden cardiac death.
