Charity Golf Day

July 2008

Our 1st Charity Golf Day was held at the Gog Magog golf club in Cambridge.

The event was primarily used as a spring board for our main charity event when we do the Three Peaks Challenge at the end of August.

We did a raffle as well as playing the golf and raised over £1000 for the two charities.

I have chosen CRY as my brother-in-law, Jon Shaw, suddenly died in December 2005 due to a heart defect - and my niece is now being regularly scanned for signs of any similar defect.

The father of our Projects Director is currently under going treatment for Prostate Cancer which is why it was chosen as the other beneficiary - again it is a charity close to our hearts.
