An ECG can be performed on the National Health Service in individuals who have symptoms suggestive of cardiovascular disease or a family history of premature cardiac disease or sudden cardiac death.  If an individual does not have any symptoms or a family history then this sort of investigation is not offered on the National Health Service but sure, it can be done privately, it’s just very expensive.  I think an ECG in the private sector costs about £100.
