You don't need to be super fit to enjoy the Sahara Trek, but you will be
supplied with a training plan in order to get you into shape for the trip. Some
people take part with friends or family, but the majority of people come
on their own. This could be a great way to make new friends and
raise money for CRY!
In order for you to be able to take part in this fantastic
charity trek, we ask you to first
make a non-refundable deposit of £299. The rest of the trip's
expenses will be FREE providing you raise a minimum amount of £2000 in sponsorship money. CRY will receive at least £1000 for each
fundraiser who takes part in this event.
Some participants choose to pay the deposit out of their own pocket,
whilst others will do this initially and then later reimburse themselves
from sponsorship money collected (from any monies raised over and above
the event's minimum sponsorship level).

This event will be taking place
from 28th February to 8th March 2009. |

"The full colour of the landscape
erupts as the sun rises. Hot coffee and a good breakfast sets us up
for a good day's trek. We dismantle the campsite and load up the
camels and head across Erg Lihoudi.
Amongst the sand dunes are small
tamarisk trees that manage to flourish despite the harsh environment.
Continuing between small dunes we see the Jebel Bani Mountians to the
north and dunes to the south."
