Solihull News - 4th August 2006

A family Fun Day which will include a charity football match between a Dominic Lilley Select XI and West Bromwich Albion All Stars, will take place on August 13 at the Sedgemere Sports and Social Club in Yardley.

Gates open at 12pm and the game kicks off at 2.30pm, entry is by programme only which costs £2.50 on the gate or in advance by contacting ec43b1981@yahoo.co.uk

The game will be followed by a raffle and sports auction including a Middlesbrough UEFA Cup Final shirt signed by the players, song lyrics signed by Oasis and items donated by a range of football teams.

Dominic, an ex-Cockshut Hill pupil, suffered a cardiac arrest at the age of 20 in 2003 resulting in a loss of oxygen to the brain.  This caused mental and physical disability which Dominic is still receiving rehabilitation for at City Hospital, Birmingham.

All money raised at the event will go towards Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and the City Hospital.
