London Triathlon

9th August 2008

My flatmate (Tom Brooks) and I decided to raise money for CRY due to Tom's school friend passing away a few years ago.

We entered the London Triathlon on Saturday 9th August in the 'Sprint' event - which is half of the Olympic distance you will have seen the super-fit guys doing in Beijing this summer, but a real test nonetheless!

We trained hard over the months leading up to the event, and felt that it would be great not just to compete for the personal achievement it brings, but also to raise some money for CRY which we feel is a really worthy cause.

We both had a great day - very rewarding to finish after long hours training. It was also fantastic to know that we had done it for such a worthy cause as well.
