London Marathon Effort

RUNNERS UP: Approximately £1,500 has been raised for charity, following the efforts of the Watford Observer's Liz Ford and Paul Crowney in the London Marathon last month. The sub editors raised £500 from the newspaper's employees, match-funded by media company Newsquest. Publisher Tom Moore hands over the cheque, which will benefit Cardiac Risk in the Young, which aims to eliminate unexplained sudden deaths.
