Cindy's 13,000ft leap for charity

Wiltshire Star - 8th December 2005

An estate agent braved the cold to jump out of a plane, raising £390 for charity.  Cindy Pride, 52, from Chalford, Westbury, completed the 13,000ft tandem parachute jump in Netheravon Airfield, near Salisbury.

She donated the money to CRY, a charity which raises awareness of cardiac risk in the young.

She said: “I chose the charity because it’s one that not many people know.

“The jump was fantastic.  It was very cold though, so I was wearing about eight layers.

“I wasn’t nervous, I was just excited to be doing it.  I’ve always wanted to do it and it was a laugh all the way.

“I would do it again and would recommend doing it to anyone.  It’s a fun way to raise money for charity.”

Mrs Pride would like to thank her family, friends and colleagues at Davies & Davies estate agents for their support.
