Star is all heart

Yorkshire Post (North Yorkshire Edition)  - 19th June  2007

Also appeared in Hull & East Riding and West Riding Editions

lIttle Britain  TV star David Walliams had an ECG heart test yesterday to help promote the Heart Screening Awareness Partnership.

The event was to raise awareness of Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome, which kills up to eight young people a week in Britain.

Walliams is fronting the campaign for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (Cry).  Electrical giant Philips will be supporting the campaign with ECG machines, technical support, care for patients and long-term strategy.  Walliams, a patron of Cry, agreed to be filmed having an ECG and Echo test to demonstrate how easy and simple it is to have such tests.
