Zoom Media is supporting CRY

ZoomMediaCRY is delighted that Zoom Media have chosen to support the charity from June 2013 and throughout 2014.

Zoom Media are delighted to announce that we are supporting CRY as our charity partner. Since 2013 we’ve aspired to take every opportunity we can to support this deserving charity. Being a locally based, health and fitness related charity, we feel we are able to build and maintain continuous support from our whole team, both financially and physically.

Health and fitness is at the core of our business. Our dedication and passion enable us to be the UK’s largest digital media network in health clubs with over 4000 screens across 600+ gyms in the UK. We’re proud to be the leaders in our field.

Everyone at Zoom has been touched by the work CRY do and are motivated and dedicated to raise valuable funds for them. To meet this goal we have filled our diary with fundraising events including plans to fire walk, white water raft, several runs, raffles and fancy dress days. We can’t wait to get going.

Through our fundraising we have become more aware of how apparent the cause is, highlighting to us how important CRY’s support is to so many people. We are committed to raising awareness and supporting them now and in the future.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this adventure together. CRY is a fantastic charity that the team and I are looking forward to supporting. It is absolutely crucial that we as a company can give back some of our time, resources and indeed, support into future generations. On behalf of the whole of Zoom Media, we welcome CRY on board.”

Zoom Media Fundraising Reports

ZOOMFR1Run To The Beat
On the 8th September 2013 our MD Alex Peacock took part in ‘Run to the Beat’. The race is London’s biggest half marathon and starts and ends at Greenwich Park. The event had live music played throughout, alongside the amazing support around the course that kept everyone motivated. With the many music stages and crowds gathering, spirits were kept high, creating a great atmosphere not just for the runners but for everyone supporting that day. Overall the day was a huge success and Alex managed to secure £390 sponsorship on behalf of Zoom Media UK!

ZOOMFR2Charity Webpage
Because of the great work CRY do and the difference they make to hundreds of lives we are passionate to help CRY build awareness of everything they do. In October we set up a page, on our website dedicated to informing visitor’s about CRY and how we intend to support them. The CRY charity page gets a minimum of 100 views per week and has had nearly 9,000 views since October 2013! Why not see for yourself by visiting http://www.zoommedia.com/en-gb/we-do/charity.

ZOOMFR3Quarterly Management Meeting
In November our management team sacrificed their catered lunches that are normally supplied at their quarterly meetings for their own packed lunches. This meant we were able to donate the money we would have spent to CRY.

ZOOMFR4CRY’s Raising Awareness Week
In support of CRY’s Raising Awareness Week at the end of November, all three of our offices took time to bake cakes to sell them during the week. Everyone made a massive effort, it was a huge success, we discovered some talented chefs amongst us and the best bit was we got to eat loads of delicious cakes all day, raising just under £250 in total.

ZOOMFR7Halloween
Our Manchester office celebrated, where they celebrated Halloween by donating £1 and dressing up for the day. They used their creativity to make some really inventive, and even realistic costumes. A little bit of fun and £30 in the CRY pot.

ZOOMFR5Christmas
Christmas is a time for giving and what better way to celebrate than to give a lucky raffle winner an iPad Air. Through sales of raffle tickets and our Christmas card amnesty we gave £480 to CRY at Christmas.

ZOOMFR6Wear Red Day
In Celebration of National Wear Red Day this February everyone at Zoom supported CRY by coming to work in an item of red. We fundraised by having treats for sale such as red velvet cake and everyone donating a pound for coming to work in red. Everyone was happy to show their support meaning the day turned out a huge success.
