Adrian Badon poem

Adrian’s Poem.

Poem photo

My handsome fine young son will breathe no more,
A cruel hand of fate has stolen away the Adrian I adore.
No more to hear his laughter or his pain,
And from now on my life’s just not the same.
The family bond we always knew we had,
Is bereft of one, and we are all too sad.
We cry, we laugh, we sob, but all in vain,
And that special young man, so full of life, we’ll never see again.
To our of memories of him we fiercely cling, so tight,
As that screaming pain just hits you in the dark of the night.
For all I did not do – I cannot bear,
And for everything we had – I feel despair.
But as I see you sleeping I just know,
This was not your own choice to swiftly go.
The cycle of life that turns like the Laxey Wheel,
Unstoppable, taking no notice of how we feel.
The lives you touched pour in – as on Facebook they appear,
Just hundreds of people expressing both their sadness and their fear.
Many start with, “Adrian, no, no, no,
It really wasn’t time for you to up and go.”
In the words of Omar Kyham the hand has written on the page,
All our tears will not change the writing – nor our bitter rage.
So ” live, love, laugh” your philosophy, and now that you are gone,
We will use your words so gently to help us get along.
Your memories will surround us, in this earthly place,
And in my heart I’ll always hold your smiling, happy face.
Goodnight, God Bless my precious son I can now see no more,
Since along this life’s strange path you have suddenly closed the door.
Joining family and friends who await you on the other side,
I know that they will welcome you, with love and with pride.

I love you for ever and will miss you always my dearest Adrian
Until we meet again
From your mom
