2016 fundraising in memory of Pardeep

Jaya Nagra trained for the London Marathon, but had an ankle injury three days prior to the run and was unable to run. Family, friends and work colleagues ran a baton marathon for her which included Kully and Jaya’s mum Neelam! It raised great awareness and even more money! ! She was disappointed having trained for months in the rain, cold weather, but she raised £2,185.00 which has gone into the core funding. Let’s hope she raises even more for her second attempt next year.

On 20th February 2016, myself, Sundiljit, Baljinder and Jaya did a swimathon (swim4dips) to mark Pardeeps 34th Birthday and raised £2,153, we swam 34 lengths (8500 metres) in total. this also included the awareness days that we held at the Bentley Bridge Swimming Baths in Wolverhampton where we did the swim.

On 4th March we had our Dinner and Dance at the Grand Station. Kulbir and Jaya worked so hard and managed to raise £10,217.17 with support from all our fundraisers which includes the matching making from Barclays Bank of £1,000. Royal Mail and Deanesly Centre, New Cross Hospital £3,026 by raffle tickets and donations made by Royal Mail.

On 12 March 2016, several volunteers and work colleagues did a skydive and we raised total sum of £2,348.46. Angie James, Arun Singh, April Wiles, Lindsay Millington, Mark Rodgers, Neil Gill
Paul Dangerfield and Steven Green made jumping out of a plane look effortless (but they were very nervous!)

runningEclipse kickboxing in Wolverhampton also supported our fundraising by hosting a raffle on their boxing event which was great fun.

Asda also donated £200 from the community funds green tokens which was a great way to raise awareness in our local area!

Our #CRYWolves fundraisers have worked so hard this year to raising such an amazing amount. We have raised £17,103.45 this year in total.
