Whilst Facebook fundraising is available to set up all year round, a birthday fundraiser is a great way to get your family and friends involved and help raise awareness in honour of your birthday. If you would like to set up a page but aren’t quite sure how, we have put together a step by step guide below alongside common FAQ’s to help you.
On the left, click Fundraisers.
Tip: If you can’t see Fundraisers on the left-hand side, then click See more.
Type in the search bar to find a charity and Select the charity that you want to raise money for.
Under “Details” choose: The name of the charity that you’re raising money for, how much you want to raise, the currency that you want donations to be in and the date that you want the fundraiser to end. Click Next.
Under “Tell your story”, enter: A title for your fundraiser and a brief explanation for why you wanted to create this fundraiser. Click Next.
Under “Pick a cover photo”, choose one of the suggested photos. Click Create.
Congratulations you’ve now set up your fundraiser!
