Dr Steven Cox, CEO of charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), has called for heart checks by football clubs at Academy level, as well as for senior pros. After a routine screening for Albion & Hove, player Connor Goldson was told he had a problem and would need preventative surgery.
Preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.
