Kingussie Camanachd Club are saluting the triumph of star performer Eoin Baikie – but not on the pitch.
His heroics this time came not at The Dell but at the Edinburgh Marathon, where he finished the challenge in the name of his late best pal, Calum Mackintosh, who died so tragically in November.
“Congratulations to Eoin who ran the Edinburgh Marathon in 3 hrs 25 mins yesterday,” the club posted today.
“He has raised around £12,000 so far for CRY, in memory of Cal Mac.
”There was plenty of Red and Blue to cheer him on!”
By this afternoon the shinty star’s modest target of £500 had been left far, far behind as the total passed £12,250.
