Katey Louise Davies died in 1998 of adult death syndrome she was just 17 & 2 months away from her 18th birthday. I ran the virtual London marathon in cardiff in memory of Katey, to raise awareness of the CRY charity.
We have been trying to get into the London marathon through the ballot for years without success, so in 2019 following another rejection email we decided to book a place at Manchester, it was our goal to complete a marathon by the year 2020. We got our places and started training, and we decided to run for a charity.
On 15th January 2022 a charity concert was held in Tuqiri’s memory. Local entertainers Beth Clark, Zoe Warren and Tony Pearce all donated their time. The event was well supported with people either purchasing tickets or donating prizes for the raffle. The event raised a grand total of £2400! We hope to continue fundraising throughout the year
I was pleased to be able to raise £749.15 for CRY as part of my charitable effort through cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats. I participated in Ride Across Britain, a 9 day cycling challenge of 970 miles. It was a thoroughly enjoyable (but gruelling) experience. I hope this fundraising goes someway to support

On September 4th 2021 I began my journey from Lands End to John O’Groats. The ride took 9 days and totals just over 980 miles, meaning I averaged over 100 miles a day. I found the kind messages and support from friends and family back home really supportive and a big motivator to keep on
