The 2022 World Cup is back for it’s 22nd year and this time it’s being held in Qatar, with the first game kicking off on November 20th and the final match to be played on Sunday December 18th.
If you are a football fan and are planning on watching this years event, why not add to the fun by running a charity sweepstake with your colleagues, friends or family. Get everyone to pay a fee that best suits your group (we recommend £3), then pick a country at random. You can, of course, pick names out a physical hat, but if easier there are many websites online that you can enter all 32 teams into and it will allocate a team to each participant randomly.
When the winner is announced, the person with that team wins a percentage of the entry money and the remaining funds can be donated to charity.
How does it work?
We recommend that each participant pays £3 per team; whoever has the winning team at the end wins £50, and the remaining £46 goes to charity.
Below, CRY has created a sweepstake sheet, along with a cutout template, that you can download and print off to help with your competition. Once everyone taking part has been allocated their potential winner at random, all you need to do is write their names next to the correct country and enjoy the tournament!
