Finance Manager vacancy (part-time)

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is a national charity, based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Established in 1995, CRY is the only charity that focuses exclusively on the issue of young sudden cardiac death, raising awareness, offering free or subsidised cardiac screening to all 14 to 35 year olds and providing support to families affected by young sudden cardiac death.

The main responsibilities of the Finance Manager include the smooth running of the Finance department and its various functions.  The role also requires the jobholder to maintain a consistent standard of work quality and accuracy in order to ensure that CRY continues to operate in an effective manner.

The successful candidate will manage the activities of a small team of staff dealing with purchase and sales ledgers, online fundraising, memorial and ringfenced funds,  profit and loss accounts and payroll (in conjunction with HR).

The role includes the timely production of financial reports for the CEO and Trustees of CRY; to manage banking systems and functions; to manage operational capital investment requirements; to liaise with auditors, banks, HMRC; and to carry out other tasks at the request of the CEO.

Candidates should be AAT or ACCA qualified, ideally with experience of Raiser’s Edge, Sage 50, Microsoft Office.  They should also have previous management experience, be flexible in their approach, with good organisational skills and attention to detail.

This is a part-time role, at 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  The salary on offer is £40,000pa pro rata.
