At a floral art demonstration in Dronfield on 6th November 2014 Elaine was given over £200 – the proceeds of the raffle. In her thank you talk she gave a short explanation about the work of CRY and many useful contacts were made.
On 19th November 2014 over seventy members of The Rutland Group of WI’s attended a soup and sweet lunch organised by Dronfield WI. Ian and Elaine were honoured to have been invited to the CRY Parliamentary Reception held at the House of Commons on 26th November 2014. We were so pleased that our MP Natascha Engel had decided to join the All Party Parliamentary Group and we spent a lovely day with her at Westminster and are so grateful
Every Christmas nearly thirty charities each decorate a Christmas tree in Tapton Masonic Hall in Sheffield. Over the Christmas and New Year period it is estimated that over 4000 visitors see the trees. On 13th December 2014 Elaine and The Dronfield Singers sang carols outside our local branch of Sainsbury’s and the collection was donated to CRY.
After the service on 21st December 2014 the proceeds from the sale of coffee and mince pies was donated to CRY.
