12 A Week Challenge Write Up On Saturday the 14th November 2020, 175 participants started to clock up the miles by walking, running, hiking, cycling and jogging. Cardiac Related Sudden Deaths in Sport

Cormac McAnallen (24) Irish Gaelic football player who died from an undetected heart condition   Patrick Dinsmore (16) Gaelic footballer who died on the pitch due to an undetected heart condition.   Richard Butcher (29) English professional football player died at his home in Swinton. His death had been caused by the heart condition cardiac arrhythmia.

Antonio Puerta was buried yesterday, in Seville, the city where he lived, loved and died while playing football. As he was interred, the family of Clive Clarke was at Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre, giving thanks for escaping a similar tragedy. Clarke, a Sunderland defender on loan to Leicester City, collapsed during City’s Carling Cup match at Nottingham
