My beautiful son Wilson Shepherd passed away on 31/08/2023, aged just 25 years, all tests normal, putting his death to SADS.
Wilson was young, fit, healthy and well. He was a triathlete, coming 2nd in his first ever half Iron Man in 2022 for his age group. Wilson also ran the Keswick to Barrow (40miles) every May raising lots of money for MND charity, a charity close to his heart after his uncle died from this awful disease.
2022 also saw Wils achieve a first class honours degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, going onto do his Masters, which sadly he never got to finish.
We miss Wilson every single second of every day, always will. He was a beautiful soul, loved his family and his girlfriend. His early death has left us all traumatised and broken.
With love, Lesley Mease, Wils mum x
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting CRY’s screening programme.
The aim is to fund the screening of young people within the local community.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wilson at the K2B when he was the first home for the MND team. A gorgeous lad, so happy with his time but was already talking about where he could look to improve for the following year. A remarkable young man xxx
