17 Year Old Student Fundraises for CRY Heart Screening

Sixth Form Student, Elinor, has launched the ‘Hartbeat’ campaign to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) after her cousin, Frank, was diagnosed with a heart condition at a CRY screening financed by a memorial fund. โ€œFrankโ€™s diagnosis, although devastating, has potentially saved his life,โ€ Elinor said. She aims to raise ยฃ5,000 in order to hold another CRY screening in Monmouth for 100 young people. โ€œCRY is a vital charity, especially to sporty youngsters,โ€ said Elinor. โ€œI would like to extend the Dean Mason Memorial Fundโ€™s kindness and pay for an event in Monmouth next summer.
