A group of 7 friends, who all met through Scouting, decided to take on the 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for 3 charities with very personal meaning to the group; CRY, MND Association and Hearing Dogs.
CRY was chosen because we all sadly lost a mutual friend (Tom Greenwood), aged just 20, when he left his house for work one morning, feeling absolutely fine, and his heart simply stopped before he had even left his driveway.
With 3 other friends supporting us for the trip we organised the whole challenge ourselves, from transport to navigation.
On Saturday 7th September at 5am we set off up Ben Nevis, we then drove to the Lake District to climb and Scafell Pike and finally on to Snowdonia for Snowdon.
It was tough going at times and on Sunday 8th September after 31 hours 14 minutes we reached the bottom of Snowdon.
